The MeHoe Song...

When Julie works the night shift, my wife Beth gets the girls to bed. This includes singing to them a song or two. The other evening they wouldnt rest until she sang the MeHoe song, which she had no clue about. So she made something up, but it wouldnt do. All that would work was the song that ended "coming for to carry MeHoe".

On my wall is a canvas that I doubt I'll ever paint. It has the sketch for "Girl in a Window". The more I look at it, the less I want to paint it. Not because I've lost interest, but because I've become accustomed to it. There is a thoughtfulness as she looks out into the air. In some way I cant explain, she has become a silent friend, gracing my studio with her presence, and it pleases me.
